Nuclear Cardiac Imaging is performed upright in a comfortable padded chair, and does not require the patient to place their arm or arms above their head for the duration of the study. Rather, the arms are placed on a padded armrest at approximately shoulder level. This allows for much greater patient comfort, especially with older or arthritic patients.
The imaging unit is also very open and compact, and virtually eliminates feelings of anxiety or claustrophobia sometimes associated with imaging using traditional nuclear medicine systems.
